Purpose

Referred to committee following Local Member
Consultation as members want discussion on Policy 26 (Business and
industry) and Policy 29 (Rural development) of NPF4 and on Policy
R2 (Development Proposals Elsewhere in the Countryside) of the ADLP
2023.

Content

Agreed to grant on the grounds that the
proposal would provide a suitable small-scale employment proposal
in a remote rural area, in a location that was considered to be
appropriate for the nature of the dog-grooming business and that
could be safely accessed on foot and by car, and would provide a
valued business, complementary to other businesses already on the
site. The application was considered to comply with Policy 29 Rural
Development of National Planning Framework 4 and Policy R2
Development Proposals Elsewhere in the Countryside, with specific
reference to R2.19 and R2.20.
