The Buchan Area Committee decided to grant full planning permission for the installation of a flood door at Reul Na Mara, 3 Harbour Street, Boddam on 03 June 2025. This decision was a departure from Aberdeenshire Local Development Plan 2023 policies HE1 and HE2, and National Planning Framework 4 policy 7. The permission is subject to a condition that it will lapse if the development is not begun within three years.
