Purpose
Following IJB meetings on 19th February and
19th March 2025, savings were identified to reduce funding gap in
revenue budget. The review and rationalisation of in-house Learning
Disability Day Service provision must identify £104,634 of
savings.
Content
Chief Officer will ensure clear communication
and engagement with affected families and individuals to understand
their needs and support them through the transition;
A clear plan to be developed for transitioning
individuals to alternative provisions, ensuring no-one loses
service until suitable alternatives are in place;
Chief Officer to report to each meeting of IJB
on progress of communication and transition efforts;
Officers to consider alternative delivery
models involving community groups, third-party providers and
private providers to enhance service capacity;
Officers to establish a mechanism for
individuals to escalate concerns if they feel their needs are not
being met.
