Purpose

The purpose of the report is to seek a
determination on an Asset Transfer Request for ownership of the New
Pitsligo Public Toilet block. A valid Asset Transfer Request has
been received from New Pitsligo Village Projects which is an
eligible Community Transfer Body. The determination is required
within a defined timescale as set out by section five of the
Community Empowerment Act 2015.

Having considered the Asset
Transfer application, agreed (1) to approve the Asset Transfer
request from New Pitsligo Village Projects
for ownership of New Pitsligo Public Toilets and instruct the Area
Manager to issue a Decision Notice, (2) authority to the Area
Manager to instruct Legal and People to conclude the transfer of
New Pitsligo Public Toilets; and (3) that the purchase price should
be set at a nominal sum of £1 which takes into account the
refurbishment costs and community benefits that the organisation
can provide
