The Buchan Area (Vacation) Committee of Aberdeenshire Council approved the minute of its meeting on 22nd July 2025. The committee agreed to the recommendations in the report regarding planning permission in principle for a strategic electricity transmission hub. They also agreed to award grants to Maud Village Hall, Mintlaw Men's Shed, Peterhead Area Community Trust, Stuartfield Public Hall, and Strichen Community Council, while making no award to Peterhead Boys Club, APEX Church, or Port Erroll Heritage Group.
