Purpose
The committee is asked to consider and provide comment to Education & Children's Service regarding the recent Education Scotland Inspection Report of Anna Ritchie School
Decision
Having noted the Inspection Report and having heard from the Head Teacher, agreed (1) to congratulate the HT and staff on the sterling work that they do within the school which is widely acknowledged throughout the community, and (2) to note that there are outstanding repairs and maintenance requirements which contribute towards the challenges already faced on a daily basis within the school and, whilst acknowledging the Inspection focuses less on the condition of School buildings, consideration should be given as to how much these additional challenges contributed towards the ‘satisfactory’ grade awarded
