The Banff and Buchan Area Committee of Aberdeenshire Council agreed the Public Sector Equality Duty on 04 November 2025. Members were reminded of their legal duty to have due regard to the need to eliminate discrimination, advance equality of opportunity, and foster good relations between those who share protected characteristics and those who do not. The committee was directed to consider Integrated Impact Assessments where available to inform their decisions.
