Having considered
and discussed, agreed to provide following comments to
Infrastructure Services Committee (1) that, where possible, the
terminology be simplified, (2) that there be clear guidance as to
how the general public can engage and make comment on the LDP, (3)
to welcome the proposal to involve young people more in the LDP
process, (4) to support and encourage the various proposals to
raise awareness and raise the profile of the LDP, and (5) to
note that the use
of the Local Development Plan as a "living" document is
outwith the scope of such a strategic
document, and that the role of Local Place Plans to allow local
flexibility should be considered in this context, and (6) that the
opportunities for the Local Development Plan to respond to emerging
challenges, particularly in relation to established rural
development policies, should be recognised
