Purpose
The report provides an update on the delivery of the Scottish Government Place Based Investment Programme (PBIP) in Aberdeenshire, now that the 5-year programme is coming to an end. Through the PBIP, the Council has supported 38 projects across Aberdeenshire, distributing £6.63m in capital funding with an overall programme value of c.£20m.

- 2.3 Agree that, should the Place Based Investment Programme (or similar successor programme) be extended or re-introduced by the Scottish Government in the future, the governance and decision-making arrangements used for the 2021/22 - 25/26 Programme be replicated until the end of financial year 2026/27 without the need for further Committee approval. Such arrangements would be to delegate authority to the Director of Environment & Infrastructure Services to approve applications for funding from the PBIP (or similar successor programme) following consultation with the Chair, Vice Chair and Opposition Spokesperson of Infrastructure Services Committee and the Council Leader/s (the Place Based Investment Panel).
