Content

The Committee agreed to:
 

(i)            
Award £1,302.14 to the Ellon and District Sports Development
Trust, towards their project to improve security around their
paddock area, for the benefit of the local groups who use this
facility regularly,
 

(ii)           
Allocate £5,000 to Aberdeenshire Council (in partnership with
Blackdog Residents’ Association) towards the progression of
the Blackdog community project, towards the design and planning
stage of a community facility,
 

(iii)         
Allocate £8,234.20 to Aberdeenshire Council (in partnership
with Turriff Community Council and Turriff Primary School) towards
the installation of four gates at the entrances / exits to Turriff
Primary School, to prevent anti-social driving and behaviour within
the school grounds,
 

(iv)         
Award £5,000 to Methlick Bowling Club towards new, more
versatile machinery, to undertake annual and ongoing green
maintenance,
 

(v)          
Award £3,750 to the Turriff Silver Band, towards better
instruments, to encourage players to improve, and in advance of the
group competing once again,
 

(vi)         
Award £2,000 to the Rotary Club of Ellon, towards a festive
event for the Ellon and District area, to support the switch on of
the town’s festive lights, and
 

(vii)        
Award £2,000 to Ythan Community Council, towards Christmas
lights to replace those which are not currently working.
