Decision

Motion – Councillor McAllister, seconded by Councillor Owen, moved that the application be refused as it was contrary to NPF4 Policy 14 and the Aberdeenshire Local Development Plan Policy 1, on the grounds of loss of trees, greenspace and amenity in the area, and that it had an unacceptable impact on the amenity of neighbouring properties in terms of privacy, overlooking and the overbearing nature of the development.

Amendment – Councillor Stirling, seconded by Councillor Forsyth, moved as an amendment that the Committee agree the recommendations within the report, with an additional condition to ensure the maintenance of the development, on the grounds that the proposals met the housing needs assessment.
