Purpose

Marr Area Committee are being asked to
consider the Strategic Housing Investment Plan 2025-2030, which is
effectively a five year plan for affordable housing in
Aberdeenshire and provide comment to
Communities Committee.

Content

To provide the following
comments to Communities Committee:
 
1.       Queried whether
there were any incentives available for key worker
housing.
2.       Would like to see
the repurposing of existing buildings for social housing, noting
challenges around lack of land availability.
3.       Expressed concern
about the ability to deliver in the current financial
climate.
4.       Highlighted the need
to not forget about housing in rural areas.
5.       Noted limitations on
housing need data, particularly in rural communities.

Ward Members on developer obligations in Banchory.
