Purpose

Provide members with the outcome of the 5 year
review of the Roads Winter Maintenance Policy and any accompanying
documentation and ask for comments from members.

The Committee agreed to provide the following
comments to Infrastructure Services Committee:
 

·      
Grit Bins/Priority Routes/Footways – take cognisance of
Fairer Scotland Duty

·      
Communications Strategy – include private sector to share
messaging, role around not encouraging employees to travel on
affected roads, winter preparedness.

·      
Operational Plan – include gradient in the matrix for rural
schools.
