Purpose
The Cabinet will be asked to approve the
allocation of Strategic Community Infrastructure Levy (SCIL)
funding to the Gascoigne Road Highway and Public Realm Improvement
Project, to address existing safety issues, reduce severance and
improve the condition of and access to the public realm in the
Gascoigne neighbourhood.

Cabinet resolved to:
(i) Approve the
allocation of £470,387 of Strategic CIL to the Gascoigne Road
highway and public realm improvement project;
(ii) Note that the
allocation included a contingency of £130,000 that would not
be required should the project successfully receive grant funding
from Thames Water and the Forestry Commission; and
(iii) Delegate authority to the
Strategic Director, Inclusive Growth and Place, in consultation
with the Head of Legal, to execute all the agreements, contracts,
and other documents on behalf of the Council in
order to implement the arrangements.
