Purpose
The Cabinet will be asked to
approve the allocation of Strategic Community Infrastructure Levy
(CIL) funding to four parks and open space projects across the
borough, to support the upgrade of existing and provision of new
infrastructure across the borough’s parks and open
spaces.
Content
Cabinet resolved to:
(i) Approve, in
principle, the allocation of £500,000 Strategic CIL funding
for the Outdoor Play Spaces and Fixed Play Facilities project as
detailed in Appendix 1 to the report;
(ii) Approve, in
principle, the allocation of £390,000 Strategic CIL funding
for the Park Safety Enhancement Programme: Improved Signage for
Safer Spaces project as detailed in Appendix 4 to the report;
and
(iii) Delegate authority to the
Strategic Director, Inclusive Growth and Place, in consultation
with the Head of Legal, to execute all the agreements, contracts
and other documents on behalf of the Council in
order to implement the arrangements.
