Purpose
The Cabinet will be asked to
approve the allocation of Strategic Community Infrastructure Levy
(CIL) funding to the LifeLine Church to
support the development of a new, vibrant community space in the
Andrews Corner area of Dagenham.
Content
Cabinet resolved to:
(i) Approve the
allocation of £535,000 of Strategic CIL funding to
LifeLine Church for the development of
a new community centre in the Andrews Corner neighbourhood; and
(ii) Delegate authority
to the Strategic Director, Inclusive Growth and Place, in
consultation with the Head of Legal, to take any steps necessary to
ensure compliance with the Subsidy Control Act 2022 and to execute
all the agreements, contracts, and other documents on behalf of the
Council in order to implement the
allocation of SCIL funding.
