Purpose

Wood Court Extra Care Scheme has been
operational since July 2008 and consists of 39 self-contained flats
for rent.  There are currently 11 flats in the building
which haven’t been let as extra
care.  Peabody own the building and provide the housing
management services and Barnet Council has nomination rights.
 
The current contract for the provision of care
and support services to the residents of Wood Court Extra Care
scheme is with Metropolitan Thames Valley (MTVH). In
December 2023 MTVH indicated they were exiting the
regulated care market at the end of the contract
term – 31st March 2026. 
On 5th February 2025 Cabinet agreed
the procurement of care and support services at Wood Court under
the Council’s Annual Procurement Forward Plan 2025 –
2026 (Appendix A – Annual Procurement Forward Plan (APFP)
2025–26 Annual Procurement Forward Plan
2025–26).
 
The service was put out to tender on
2nd October 2025. Following the procurement process, it
has been identified that the contract will be awarded to Evergreen
Homecare Services Ltd.
 
The contract term is for a period of up to
three years with an option to extend for a further two years
(3+1+1) subject to budget constraints and performance.
