The Cabinet of Barnet Council approved the development of a Full Business Case for purchasing renewable energy through a long-term Power Purchase Agreement on 12 October 2026. This decision allows for the exploration of a 15-year agreement to purchase 4GWh of electricity annually from a solar farm. The council will also explore energy supply from London Energy as an alternative or supplementary option.
