Purpose

Summary

This report provides the Council with the authority for the direct purchase of the leasehold interests for 134 -138 Burnt Oak Broadway HA8 0BB where the council already owns the freehold interest.  The property will then be part of the Housing Revenue Acquisition programme.

Decisions

1. To authorise the private treaty acquisition at a purchase price up to £150,000 for the leasehold interest for 134-138 Burnt Oak Broadway HA8 0BB including the ground first and second floor units in accordance with associated costs as mentioned in this report, and Heads of Terms to be agreed in respect of this property.
2. To authorise officers to enter into the purchase contract and any other necessary documentation to complete this purchase, subject to satisfactory due diligence being confirmed.
