About

The Cabinet is Barnsley Council's executive decision-making body, responsible for the overall management of council services and operating within the policies and budget set by the full Council. It makes recommendations on major policy items, the annual budget, and capital programmes for Council approval.

The Cabinet oversees a wide range of services including core services, children's services, environment and highways, regeneration and culture, place health and adult social care, and public health and communities. Its decisions directly affect residents through the provision and management of these essential services.
