Customer Services Scrutiny Committee

The Customer Services Scrutiny Committee scrutinises council services and performance to advise the Executive on policies, budgets, and service delivery. It monitors decisions made by the Executive or Cabinet members, and can review decisions before they are implemented to ensure they are appropriate.

The committee focuses on areas such as housing, emergency planning, revenues and benefits, street scene, waste collection, customer services, and ICT. It also monitors corporate complaints and performance within its assigned service areas, making recommendations for improvement.
