The Finance and Corporate Overview Scrutiny Committee scrutinises the council's financial performance, budget setting, and corporate operations. It reviews audit, accountancy, procurement, payroll, and treasury management, as well as monitoring council tax collection and the impact of budget reductions.
This committee advises the Executive on policies, budgets, and service delivery, and can review decisions before they are implemented. It also monitors the council's performance and sets its own work programme, considering the council's forward plan of key decisions.
