The Regulatory & Appeals Sub-Committee
convened to consider an application for a private hire vehicle
driver licence.
 
The Sub-Committee heard from Miss McDowell
(Senior Licensing Officer) and the applicant.
 
In reaching their decision, the Sub-Committee
have had due regard for all that they have read and heard, along
with the Council’s Licensing Policy, and their duty under
Section 149 of the Equality Act 2010.
 
Taking all the above into consideration, the
Sub-Committee have determined on the balance of probabilities that
the applicant is not a fit and proper person, and accordingly
refuse their private hire vehicle driver application.
