Decision

To enter a grant agreement to BUFC Community
Interest Company to provide Grant of up to one million four hundred
and fifty thousand Pounds (£1,450,000) towards the completion
of new Sports Hub as part of the Jakeman Community
Stadium.

Reasons for the decision

To increase economic activity, improve local
population health outcomes, and increase local population Level 3
qualifications.

Alternative options considered

To not spend the grant. BBC, as administrator
of the Levelling Up Partnership funded by HM Government Community
Organisations funding package.

This would render the external partner led LUP projects
undeliverable. This in turn would risk significantly damaging the
Council’s reputation with central government, the local
community and the many stakeholders that would be impacted by such
a
decision.
