Decision

BBC will purchase five newbuild homes in
Boston, from a developer.
During 2023, Cabinet and Council agreed to take part in the Local
Authority Housing Fund Programme and accepted a £471,950
grant allocation. The funding was to enable the authority to
provide five new homes which will provide sustainable housing to
those on Afghan resettlement schemes who are at risk of
homelessness; reduce local housing pressures beyond those on Afghan
resettlement schemes by providing better quality temporary
accommodation; and reduce emergency, temporary and bridging
accommodation costs.
The homes will be purchased between January to March 2024, in line
with the funding requirements and will immediately be available for
occupation. This decision relates to the purchase of all five homes
and will conclude the LAHF Round 2 funding programme.
1.To fulfil the decision of Cabinet and Council to deliver homes

3.To increase the provision of affordable housing in the
district.
4.To increase the number of homes owned by the authority, which
