Notice is hereby given that under Regulation
11 of The Local Authorities (Executive
Arrangements) (Meetings and Access to Information) (England)
Regulations 2012 the Leader is to be requested to take an urgent
Key Decision in respect of the Household Support Fund (phase four)
on or after the 5th July 2023.

The Mayor Councillor David Brown has approved of the intention to
make the aforementioned Key Decision in accordance with Regulation
11 as the making of the decision is urgent and cannot reasonably be
deferred.

Reasons why compliance with Regulations 9 and 10 is impracticable
and the decision is urgent and cannot be reasonably deferred:
The decision is urgent and cannot be deferred due to the urgent
need to support struggling households with immediate and
significant increases in living costs.
Delegation is required to sign off policy and procedure outside of
the committee process and accept the funding outside of the
budgetary framework in order to successfully launch the local
scheme in July 2023.
