Purpose

To request authority to extend a contract for
Short-term Accommodation Mental Health Services, Housing Related
Support Services for Adults with Hestia Housing and Support at 155
Walm Lane, London.

Content

That the Corporate Director Service Reform and
Strategy:
 
i)              
Approves the extension of the contract for Short-Term Accommodation
Mental Health Services, Housing Related Support Services for Adults
with Hestia Housing and Support at 155 Walm Lane, London, for a
period of 12 months from 1 July 2025.

Reasons for the decision

The Council entered into a contract for
Short-Term Accommodation Mental Health Service, Housing Related
Support Services for Adults with Hestia Housing and Support at 155
Walm Lane on 1 July 2022 for a term of 3+1+1 years.
 
The contract contains provision permitting
extension of the contract by two periods of 12 months on a yearly
basis. Officers consider the extending of the contract by the first
12 months will achieve best value for the Council and is reasonable
in all the circumstances.

Alternative options considered

Officers considered whether to re-procure the
service but concluded that extending the existing contract provided
the most appropriate means of maintaining and ensuring service
continuity.
