Purpose

To request authority to vary the Consultancy Services Contract with Arcadis Consulting (UK)Ltd for SEND Expansions.

Decision

That the Corporate Director Neighbourhoods and Regeneration:

i)               Approves the variation of the contract with Arcadis Consulting (UK) Ltd for the SEND Expansoins Consultancy Services.

Reasons for the decision

Since the original commission of Arcadis Consulting (UK) Ltd (Arcadis) to deliver the Consultancy Services for SEND Expansions, there has been a number of variations to the contract.

To this end, officers are seeking approval to vary the contract to meet these additional requirements and resources as part of the project.

Alternative options considered

The proposal is to add the additional services required to the existing contract with Arcadis.

An alternative option would be for the Council not to proceed with the additional requirements and seek alternative providers to do so. This has been discounted due to the time and resources required and the project knowledge that Arcadis has already accumulated on the projects.
