Assets & Strategy Committee

The Assets & Strategy Committee oversees Brentwood Council's asset management, including the purchase, enhancement, acquisition, and disposal of council-owned properties and those managed by subsidiaries. It also coordinates the council's policy and strategy review programme, monitors the Corporate Strategy, and makes annual updates to ensure progress against objectives. The committee handles strategic asset management, oversight of asset projects, shareholder oversight of Seven Arches Investment Limited, and facilities management for operational assets, sports clubs, and community facilities. It reviews business cases for commercial activity, formulates capital budgets, and ensures compliance of council-owned assets with statutory regulations, making recommendations for action.
