Licensing Committee

The Licensing Committee is responsible for all statutory licensing and registration functions within Brentwood.

It handles applications and decisions related to the Licensing Act 2003 and Gambling Act 2005, as well as trading standards, animal welfare, sex establishments, and various permits. The committee also manages licensing budgets, sets fees, and advises the Scrutiny Committee. Authority is delegated to Licensing Sub-Committees to hear and determine specific applications and appeals where objections have been made.
