The Standards Committee promotes and maintains a high standard of conduct by Bromley councillors and co-opted members.  It has a membership of nine Councillors and four Independent Persons also attend.  If you have any concerns about the behaviour of elected or co-opted Members, please contact us by post to the Monitoring Officer, Director of Corporate Services & Governance, Civic Centre, Churchill Court, 2 Westmoreland Road, Bromley BR1 1AS, or by email to the Democratic Services contact officer listed below.   Public Questions   Members of the public are permitted to ask one question of up to 50 words at each meeting of the Committee.  The question must be relevant to the terms of reference of the Committee. Please let us know whether you will attend the meeting to put your question in person, or whether you require a written reply. All questions and replies are published in the minutes of the meeting.    In accordance with the Council’s Constitution, questions from the public that are not specific to reports on the agenda must have been received in writing by 5pm, 10 working days before the date of the meeting. The deadlines for the next meetings are expected to be:   Meeting on 11 March 2026: Wednesday 25 February 2026 Meeting on 8 July 2026: Wednesday 24 June 2026 Meeting on 9 March 2027: Tuesday 23 February 2027   Questions specifically clarifying reports on the agenda should be received within two working days of the normal publication date of the agenda. The deadline is given on each agenda.    At special meetings, only questions relating to reports on the agenda are taken.
