Decision

That an Order be made to appoint the local ward Members, Councillors Peter Brazier and Chris Poll, to Mentmore Parish Council.

Reasons for the decision

Due to resignations and vacancies, Mentmore Parish Council has two councillors and has become inquorate. Under section 91 of the Local Government Act 1972 the Council has power to make an Order appointing temporary members to a parish council so that it can function.

Alternative options considered

To not make the appointment – Mentmore Parish Council could not make decisions and would not be able to function or co-opt other members.
