Purpose

This paper seeks support for the proposed refresh of the Buckinghamshire Tenancy Strategy, ahead of formal targeted consultation with Registered Providers.
The refresh is not a change in policy direction, but a necessary update to ensure the Council’s strategy is legally compliant, up to date, and fit for purpose in a very different housing and legislative landscape than when the strategy was last agreed in 2013.

Decision

The Leader AGREED the draft Buckinghamshire Tenancy Strategy 2026 for a 6-week consultation, targeted to Registered Providers.  Following consultation, a further key decision will be required prior to formal adoption.
