Freehold sale of a small (15m2) parcel of land which is now surplus to School

Reasons for the decision

The property is currently vacant and has been fenced off by the school. The terms of the sale are in line with the market. The proposed sale will generate a revenue receipt to support delivery of the Council’s services and meeting the Council’s obligations under Section 123 of the Local Government Act 1972.

Retain the land:
Benefit - Land kept within the public estate
Disbenefit - Maintenance and liability of land that is surplus and was fenced off by the school in 2019
