To renew lease

Reasons for the decision

The current lease expired in August 2025. The terms of the lease renewal are in line with the market. The proposed lease renewal will generate a revenue
to support delivery of the Council’s services and meeting the Council’s obligations under Section 123 of the Local Government Act 1972.

Alternative options considered

To not agree the lease renewal and market the property:
Benefit - Possible opportunity for new provider
Disbenefit - This would result in a vacant site with no rental income for an estimated six months whilst a new
tenant is found
