To approve letting of a Council-owned site

Reasons for the decision

In accordance with the Cabinet Decision on 9 September 2025, the site was widely marketed for disposal. Several bids were received and considered. The Cabinet report recommended that the offer from the preferred bidder was accepted by Cabinet. The recommended offer and details of all bids received were included in Confidential Appendices.

Alternative options considered

Do nothing – immediate negative revenue impact through void holding costs and pressures
Pursue other offer- not in line with key considerations detailed justification is contained within the confidential appendix to the Cabinet paper.
