Consideration of comments received following public consultation and agree the draft CIL Charging Schedule for North & Central area that is proposed to be submitted for public examination

Decision

Cabinet received a report on the proposed Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) Charging Schedule and Instalment Policy for the North and Central (N&C) areas following public consultation.

Public consultation was undertaken on a draft CIL Charging Schedule, instalment policy and supporting evidence. The consultation ran for six weeks, ending on 24 May 2026.

The Cabinet report summarised relevant representations and Council responses and, taking these into account, proposed a Charging Schedule to be submitted for public examination.

The Growth Infrastructure and Select Committee met on the 23 September to consider the proposals. Feedback from the Select Committee was set out in appendix 4 of the report. The Committee's comments had been addressed by Cabinet in the meeting and would be published with the Cabinet papers.

RESOLVED:

1)      That the representations following public consultation on a draft CIL Charging Schedule and Instalment Policy for the N&C areas be noted.

2)      That Council responses and amendments to the proposed CIL Charging Schedule and Instalment Policy for the N&C areas be endorsed.

3)      That the proposed CIL Charging Schedule and Instalment Policy for the N&C areas be submitted for public examination.
