Purpose

The consulted schemes within this report form part of the HS2 Road Safety Fund Tranche 2 delivered by Buckinghamshire Council and funded by HS2. The schemes are all third party applications received by the Council, and subsequently developed through to consultation and eventual detailed design.

Recommendations:

The Leader notes the outcomes of the public consultation for the proposed pedestrian crossings.

The Leader is recommended to progress the following:

·         Installation of a new pedestrian-controlled traffic light crossing on the A418 Aylesbury Road, Wing

·         Installation of a new Zebra Crossing on Denham Lane, Chalfont St. Peter, located opposite to Robertswood School and Robertswood Nursery

·         Installation of raised tables at two existing zebra crossings along High Street and Deanway in Chalfont St. Giles

The Leader delegates authority to the Service Director of Highways and Technical Service to deliver the schemes in line with the remaining HS2 Road Safety Fund (RSF) budget. If necessary, consults with the Cabinet Member for Transport to change the scope to fit within the available budget.
