Purpose
Proposal for a new EV Hub at Handy Cross High Wycombe
Decision
The Council were approached last year with a proposal to site an EV Hub on the current park and ride site at Handy Cross High Wycombe. It was considered that this was in line with the adopted Electric Vehicle Action Plan 2022 – 2027 and potentially a particularly effective use for part of this site. The Council went to the market to establish the viability of this idea and to assess market interest. The response was better than expected (c 15 EOI’s) and as a result the Council had received new, much improved proposals. The proposed scheme was for an EV charging plaza with 30 to 40 Ultra-fast EV charging points and a drive through food and beverage kiosk with WC facilities. Cabinet discussed the tender process and the statement made from Fisher German to ensure that value for money was obtained.
RESOLVED –
