Amendments to fees and charges schedules including Non-Deputy Service; Cemeteries and Crematoria; Wheelchair Training & Assessment course fee; Registrars ceremony fees; commercial fees & charges

Recommendations:

To approve the changes to fees and Charges as follows:

  1. 1.                 Increase weekly fees for Non-Deputy Service to £20 per week and introduce a one-off setup fee of £50 w.e.f. 1st August 2024.
  2. 2.                 Increase fees for Cemeteries and Crematoria Service and introduce new for Virtual Memorial Services w.e.f. 1st August 2024.
  3. 3.                 Introduction of a new Wheelchair Training & Assessment course fee within Transport Services w.e.f. 1st August 2024.
  4. 4.                 Proposal for increase of Registrars ceremony fees from 1st September 2024 for Friday and Saturday ceremonies.
  5. 5.                 To agree delegated authority for the Corporate Director to make in-year changes for commercial fees & charges, in consultation with the Cabinet Member and s151 Officer, and that any changes must still not result in over exceeding the recovery of our total costs for providing the service, and then report back on these at the earliest opportunity.
