To grant a new lease to the existing tenants at Little Willows Nursery, Carrington Infant School, Chapel Road, Flackwell Heath starting from the date of completion of the new lease.

Reasons for the decision

The current lease expired in January 2024 and there is current a tenancy at will in place whilst the new lease is agreed. The terms of the new lease are line with the current market conditions. The rent will generate a revenue to support delivery of the Council’s services and meet the Council’s obligations under Section 123 of the Local Government Act 1972

Alternative options considered

End the tenancy: the tenant is performing well so there is no need to search for a new tenant. The nursery places are required in the area.
