Decision
It was resolved to:
A. Note the update from the Monitoring Officer and the details of Code of Conduct complaints dealt with during the period 1 June 2025 to 31 May 2026.
B. Make comments and recommendations to the Monitoring Officer regarding the administration of the ethical framework as required.
C. Recommend to the Combined Authority Board that the updates to Chapter 16 of the CPCA Constitution and the Code of Conduct at Appendix A and B be adopted into the Constitution.
D. Subject to the proposed level at which gifts and hospitality should be registered remaining at £50, approve the updated Gifts and Hospitality Policy for the Mayor, Elected Members and Co-Opted Members at Appendix E and make recommendations as appropriate to the Combined Authority Board on any consequent changes to the Constitution.
E. Consider and note the letter received from the Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman.
