Purpose

To consider the approving the final draft of the new Local Plan,
which sets out the Council’s planning strategy and policies,
for further public consultation and submission to the Planning
Inspectorate for public examination.

Content

RESOLVED –
 
THAT, having had due regard to the
equality impact assessment in Appendix B of the report, the results
of consultation set out in Appendix C of the report, and having had
due regard to the obligations set out in section 149 of the
Equality Act 2010:
 

(i)        
The Camden Local Plan Proposed Submission Draft (set out in
Appendix A) and Local Plan Policies Map (set out in Appendix D) be
agreed for publication and referred to full Council for approval
and submission to the government for examination;
 

(ii)       
Authority be delegated to the Director of Economy, Regeneration and
Investment, following consultation with the Cabinet Member for
Planning and a Sustainable Camden, to make minor changes to the
Camden Local Plan Proposed Submission Draft and Local Plan Policies
Map prior to publication as required, including factual updates,
corrections and non-material wording changes; and
 

(iii)      
Authority be delegated to the Director of Economy, Regeneration and
Investment, following consultation with the Cabinet Member for
Planning and a Sustainable Camden, to make appropriate changes to
the Camden Local Plan Proposed Submission Draft, Local Plan
Policies Map and supporting documents prior to, and during, the
public examination, in response to objectors' submissions, national
policy changes or requests from the Planning Inspector.
