Scrutiny Committee

The Scrutiny Committee holds the Cabinet to account by reviewing the performance and financial reports of all council services. It examines topics such as waste and housing performance, annual performance reports, and crime and disorder reports. The committee also has the power to 'call-in' Cabinet decisions, meaning it can ask the Cabinet to reconsider decisions it believes require further review. Members of the public can speak at meetings during the performance review process.
