The Local Authority Governor Panel advises the Council on appointments and removals of Governors for school places allocated to the Local Authority. It considers and makes decisions regarding the recruitment, training, and vetting of potential Governors. The Panel also handles other matters referred to it by the Cabinet for the Constitution Committee. All members are required to undertake relevant training to effectively perform their duties.
