Magistracy and Livery Sub-Committee (General Purposes Committee of Aldermen)

The Magistracy and Livery Sub-Committee is a part of the City of London's General Purposes Committee of Aldermen, responsible for overseeing judicial functions and Livery matters.

It maintains communication with City magistrates and the Central London Bench, making recommendations on the use of the City Courthouse and matters related to the Magistrates' Dinner. The sub-committee also advises on Livery and Royal Charter applications, and other judicial functions of the Court of Aldermen. It has delegated powers to oversee the progression of organisations towards becoming Livery Companies and to review related documentation, with recommendations made to the General Purposes Committee and the Court of Aldermen.
