RESOLVED
that the Portfolio Holder for Children, Families
and Schools approve the proposed next steps.
 
1. 
 Strategic
Engagement:  Continue proactive
engagement with national partners (e.g. ISOS Partnership and the
Local Government Association) to influence the direction of reforms
and advocate for fair funding allocations.
2. 
Financial Delivery: Maintain momentum on delivering
both the in-year savings and the planned savings for 2026/27
ensuring alignment with broader budgetary pressures and
priorities.
3. 
Respond to the Special Educational Needs and
Disabilities (SEND) reform and the evolving national policy
landscape outlining any proposed changes to local policies,
alongside a clear plan for stakeholder engagement and consultation
in line with the SEND Code of Practice.
4. 
A briefing paper be circulated on the new SEND
reforms when available.
