Following consideration of the
above, it was moved by Councillor Ewert, seconded by Councillor Gow
and
 
RESOLVED
that
 
1. 
The updated Council Parenting Strategy be welcomed
and endorsed and the importance role Councillors played as
Corporate Parent was recognised and the Committee committed to
meeting its Corporate Parenting responsibilities through future
Council work.
2. 
It be Recommended to Cabinet that the
Corporate Parenting Strategy be approved subject to the
following:
(a) 
 The prioritisation of
outdoor access and environmental be made more visible in
strategy.
(b) 
Councillor mandatory training and communications on
Corporate Parenting be reviewed and strengthened.
