Review of conformity with national policy of the adopted Minerals Safeguarding Development Plan Document.
Decision
It was moved by Councillor Monk, seconded by Councillor Alvey and
RESOLVED:
- That the Cornwall Minerals Safeguarding Development Plan Document (DPD) continues to carry full weight in decision-making as a result of the review carried out in accordance with Regulation 10a of the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations (2017).
- That authority be delegated to the Service Director for Planning and Housing, in consultation with the Portfolio Holder for Planning and Housing, to prepare and implement a Chief Planning Officer Advice Note on critical minerals.
- That the opportunity be taken to continue to collate and prepare evidence in this area, to inform the relevant chapters of a future Local Plan, supported by consultation with the Economic Growth and Development Overview and Scrutiny Committee as necessary.
