It was moved by Councillor
Jordan, seconded by Councillor Wells and
RESOLVED
that
1.
A new Cornwall Harbours Board be
established;
2.
The proposed revisions to Article 16 in respect of
the new Cornwall Harbours Board be approved;
3.
Group Leaders confirm their appointments to the
Board, in accordance with the knowledge/skills/ability requirements
of the Harbours Revision Order, at the earliest opportunity
following consideration of the recommendations on 19 September
2023;
4.
That the following appointments and terms be
approved for the independent co-opted members to the
Board:
i.
Geoff Wilson – 1 year
ii.
Ian Shipperley – 2
years
iii.
Charles Gurd – 2
years
iv.
Drystan
Jones – 3 years
v.
Nathan de Rozarieux
– 3 years
5.
The proposed revisions to Responsibility for
Functions in respect of the new Cornwall Harbours Board, as set out
at Appendix 2 be approved;
6.
Pending a further review of the Members’
Allowances Scheme by the Independent Remuneration Panel, the
Special Responsibility Allowances for the Chairman and
Vice-Chairman of the new Cornwall Harbours Board be set at the same
level as the previous Harbours Board;
7.
The Memorandum of Understanding be
approved.
ACTION: Constitution to be
updated.
